It will make everybody curious to find out exactly about the music area
in Cambodia, when they hear this question.
Actually, there are many music productions out there in Cambodia. When raising
some questions about the quality of what they have produced so far. The
answer is 0 quality. Why?? Almost 100% of the music released by the productions
so far are from the previous version of Khmer music in the 1950s, Chinese, Thai,
or currently from Korean Songs.
It makes sense only in the first time you hear those 100% other-translated songs
Just to listen to its lyrics not its music. The second time or more times, if you try
to listen it again and again, i pledge your hears will get hurt n don't wanna
try it again. It absolutely happens with me every time.
Fortunately, the new rise production-ROCK has shined all Cambodia or even the students here especially me.This company often claims that they produce the brand new musics. They don't stole or take after the others. They urge everybody to buy the original released CD's or VCD's. Unfortunately, there is no any ROCK cd shipped to Vietnam. If there were, i would buy it in order to make a contribution to this field for Cambodia.
I like its songs' lyrics. I like its music. I listen again and again without any boring feeling as i listen to those who take after the foreign musics.
The Cambodia well-known Hangmeas production is facing the customer loss as this comp. doesn't change its attitude, and try to get as many foreign and 1950s Cambodian old musics as possible to release many albums in one issue date.

I hope more and more creative talented artist will be available to Cambodian audience
before its was only just hangmeas, other prductions couldnt even compare to HM but now that rock production came along they have some serious competition, i heard that they are selling like hot cakes over there in cambodia. I hope more companies will come along with good ideas, songs and composing once they take notice of what rock is doing..and I'm look forward to that. sorry for the long comment lol.
by the way just out of curiosity...what does "Ijajaja" mean? Iyesyesyes?

@ borin: You should check out this artist - http://www.myspace.com/VeronicaRos. She is Cambodian, born and raised in the U.S., and is a talented musician. She sings and plays the piano. She writes her lyrics and composes her music. And she might start a career in Cambodia one day :-)
@ ijajaja: Thanks for your post. I've never heard of Rock Production until today. I'm so glad to hear that there is actually one production company in Cambodia whose main focus isn't karaoke, but rather, something original. Can't wait to check out their work :-)
